UKCG's principal objectives are:
To influence policies and legislative changes, specific to the construction sector, proposed by the UK government and EU institutions, to ensure they are proportionate and practicable for the construction industry;
To encourage contractors to work together (especially in health and safety and environmental issues) to promote change and spread best practice; and
To work with other industry groups to achieve a single common voice for contractors.
