The primary aim of the UKCG IT sub-group is to become a source of practical ICT knowledge and experience, as applied and used in the UK construction industry, that is accessible to all UKCG members.
Aims
To collate, organise, and present the landscape of key IT software, infrastructure, services, and standards as currently used by the UKCG member companies.
To identify points of contact within the UKCG where specific IT guidance can be sought by other members.
To represent a strong, co-ordinated influence on key ICT suppliers to the UK construction industry.
To promote more efficient business collaboration within the UK construction industry, by more effective use of IT systems and support for practical, utilitarian IT standards.
To identify and articulate important IT issues for the industry, where it is felt that broader UKCG industry specific lobbying or CBI supported lobbying is necessary or desirable.
